About Saatrang

Our Mission
Live fuller lives after 55.
Saatrang helps adults 55+ live fuller lives — with the strength, confidence, connection and support to keep doing what matters to them.
Why We Exist
Living longer isn't the same as living well.
We are living longer. But living longer does not automatically mean living well.
The emerging field of Years of Good Life (YoGL) looks beyond life expectancy to ask how many years people can expect to live with physical independence, cognitive health and positive life satisfaction, alongside economic security.
Saatrang exists to support the dimensions of later life that people can actively work on — staying physically capable, mentally engaged, connected and involved in the life they value.
Why We Talk About Years of Good Life
Not just how long — how well.
Life expectancy tells us how long people may live. Years of Good Life asks how many of those years may be lived well.
The YoGL framework combines physical functioning, cognitive health, economic security and life satisfaction to create a broader picture of wellbeing in later life.
Recent research applying YoGL to India found substantial differences in good years across gender, rural and urban populations and states.
Saatrang isn't a YoGL measurement service, nor do we claim to increase someone's YoGL. We use the idea as a useful way to think about what makes later life fuller — and where support can make a difference.

Our Seven Dimensions
Strong. Balance. Move. Recover. Nourish. Calm. Connect.
Saatrang looks at wellbeing through seven dimensions: Strong, Balance, Move, Recover, Nourish, Calm and Connect.
These come together through live small-group programmes, one-to-one guidance and community — designed around the realities of life after 55.
Our live groups are intentionally small, with a maximum of 10 members.
