Terms of Service
Last updated: [SET ON PUBLISH]
These terms cover the live online sessions and wellbeing programme run by Saatrang. Please read them before enrolling — particularly the sections on health and risk.
Who these terms are with
[PLACEHOLDER — NEEDS YOUR DETAILS] Saatrang is not yet a registered company. Until it is, these terms form an agreement with the individual operating it, whose full name and address must be stated here. This needs completing before the page is published.
Who the contract is with
The agreement is with the person who pays for the membership. Where an adult child enrols a parent, the child is our customer: they hold the booking, they can change or end it, and any refund is returned to the account the payment came from. The parent attending the sessions is the member, and the sections below on health and conduct apply to them.
What Saatrang provides
Live, coached group sessions delivered over video — three sessions a week, fifty minutes each, in groups of up to ten, led by a certified coach who adapts each movement to the individual. Membership also includes a weekly Connect session, nutrition guidance and a personal meal plan, your batch’s WhatsApp group, and a Saatrang Score at day one, week six and week twelve. Recover, our one-to-one pathway, is assessed individually and is separate from membership.
What Saatrang is not
We provide fitness coaching. We are not a medical service. We do not diagnose, treat or manage any medical condition, and nothing we provide — including the Saatrang Score — is a clinical assessment or medical advice. Members should consult their own doctor about their health.
Before joining
We begin with a conversation, not a session. Before any session we ask a short set of health questions by phone so your coach knows what to watch for. If anything suggests it should be checked first, we ask the member to speak to their own doctor and to confirm the doctor is content for them to exercise. We may decline to take someone on where their condition or their doctor’s advice makes group exercise unsuitable.
Health, risk and your responsibility
Exercise carries risk, and that risk is higher for older adults. Sessions are delivered remotely: the coach can see and correct, but cannot be physically present and cannot intervene if something goes wrong. By enrolling, you confirm that the member has been asked about their health, has answered honestly, and has spoken to their doctor where we asked them to. Members are told to stop immediately if anything hurts, and are never required to continue a movement. It is the member’s responsibility to exercise within their own limits and to keep their space clear and safe.
Fees and payment
Fees are shown on our pricing page and are payable in advance for the period chosen. There is no auto-debit and no recurring mandate: membership ends on the date paid up to, and nothing renews unless you tell us to continue. The rate does not change between your first month and your twelfth. We do not store card or bank details.
Refunds and cancellation
Our refund terms are set out in full in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, and form part of these terms. In summary, for the movement programme: a full refund within seven days of your first session, no refunds after that except where a doctor advises you to stop, in which case unused whole months are refunded. Connect on its own is not refundable. Refunds are returned to the account the payment was made from.
Holidays and coach leave
Sessions do not run on national holidays and major festivals. Beyond those, a coach may take up to two days of leave in a month without affecting your membership. If more time off is needed, we will either provide a substitute coach or add compensatory sessions within your contracted period, so you receive the sessions you paid for.
If you miss a session
Where we have space in another slot that day, we will offer it. Otherwise, sessions you miss are not refunded, carried forward or made up — the session runs either way and places are limited.
Conduct
Sessions are small and shared. We ask members to join on time, keep their camera on, follow the coach’s instructions, and treat the coach, the Saatrang team and fellow members with respect. We may end a membership where a member behaves irresponsibly in a session, or directs inappropriate remarks at the coach, the team or other members. Derogatory or sexual remarks will end a membership immediately and without refund.
Sessions are not recorded
Sessions are live and are not recorded by Saatrang. There is no session footage to store, share or replay. Members may not record, photograph or broadcast a session either, as it is a shared space with other people in their own homes.
Changes to these terms
[PLACEHOLDER] How members and payers are notified when these terms change, and whether changes apply to memberships already running.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Gurgaon, Haryana have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Draft — needs legal review before publishing. Two sections are placeholders, and the identity of the contracting party cannot be stated until the business is registered.
The health and risk section is written honestly rather than defensively. It does not attempt to exclude liability, because three things currently sit against that: the business is unregistered, there is no insurance in place, and the member doing the exercising is not a party to this agreement. Those are commercial decisions, not drafting problems — no wording fixes them.
