Privacy Policy

Last updated: [SET ON PUBLISH]

We keep very little. This policy sets out exactly what we hold, why we hold it, who it goes to, and how to ask us to change or delete it.

Who we are

[PLACEHOLDER — NEEDS YOUR DETAILS] The registered name of the entity operating Saatrang, its registered address, and the email address for privacy enquiries. Indian law requires this page to identify who is responsible for your data.

What we hold about your parent

Their name, phone number and email address. An emergency contact. Their Saatrang Score — seven numbers out of ten, recorded at week 0, week 6 and week 12. Their attendance. The batch they train in. That is the whole of it.

What we do not hold

We do not keep a medical record. Their coach asks about conditions, medication, past injuries and falls before they start, because no one can coach an older adult safely without knowing what to watch for — but those answers are used to plan their sessions, not filed as a health history. We do not ask for or store doctor’s certificates, prescriptions or medical reports. We do not store card or bank details; payment is handled entirely by our payment provider.

What we hold about you

If you enrol a parent: your name, phone number and email address, and whatever you send us through the booking form or on WhatsApp.

Why we hold it

To contact them about their sessions, to follow up when they miss one, to measure and report their progress, and to reach someone if they need help during a session. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Their emergency contact

We store one name and phone number so we can reach someone if they need help mid-session. We only ever use it for that. Because this is somebody else’s information, we ask the person enrolling them to confirm that the contact knows they have been listed.

Reports we send to family

Where a parent is enrolled by an adult child, their progress report at week 6 and week 12 goes to both of them at the same time — their seven scores, what changed, what held steady, and what their coach is working on next. Anita asks your parent on their first one-to-one call whether they are happy for their reports to be shared, and we record the answer. They can change their mind at any time by telling their coordinator, and the reports will then come only to them.

Services we rely on

[PLACEHOLDER — NEEDS YOUR LIST] Name each third party that handles this data and what it receives: the booking form provider, the payment gateway, the video platform sessions run on, the messaging service used for reminders and attendance follow-up, and website hosting. Each needs naming here once chosen.

How long we keep it

[PLACEHOLDER — NEEDS YOUR POLICY] How long scores, attendance and contact details are kept after someone stops training, and what is deleted at that point.

Your rights

[PLACEHOLDER — NEEDS LEGAL REVIEW] Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to see what we hold, have it corrected, have it erased, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance. This section needs to set out how each of those works with us.

Raising a concern

[PLACEHOLDER — LEGALLY REQUIRED] The name and contact details of the person who answers privacy questions and complaints, and how long a reply takes. Indian law requires a named contact.

Changes to this policy

[PLACEHOLDER] How members and families are told when this policy changes.

Not ready to publish yet. Six of the twelve sections are placeholders — they need your legal entity, the services you end up using, how long you keep things, and a named grievance contact.

The rest describes what Saatrang actually does today. It should still be read by someone qualified before it goes live, and revisited when attendance follow-up is automated, since that introduces a messaging provider that will need naming above.
